Know the grade before you submit

Grading costs money and takes weeks, and most cards come back below what the owner hoped. StarBrain gives you an AI-assisted read on condition and a projected grade band first — so only the cards worth the submission fee get sent.

StarBrain is a subscription app: the download is free, and full access comes with Pro. Where your store offers an introductory free trial, the purchase screen will show it before you commit.

Price, any introductory offer and renewal terms are set by the App Store or Google Play and are shown on the purchase screen in your region before you buy. If a trial is offered it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel beforehand, and you can cancel any time from your store subscription settings.

Scan identification is tuned for baseball, basketball and football, and those are the sports the card catalogue carries today. Hockey and soccer browse filters ship in the app as well, with the catalogue still being seeded.
Every match comes back with a confidence score so you can see how sure the app is. Identification is AI-assisted and draws on third-party data, so it can be incomplete or out of date — verify anything that matters before you buy, sell, insure or submit. If a scan will not land, Ask StarBrain can narrow the card down by asking you a few questions instead.
No. It is an AI-assisted estimate designed to help you pre-screen a card before paying a submission fee. It is not a grade, an appraisal, an authentication or financial advice, and StarBrain is not affiliated with PSA, BGS or CGC. Only the grading company can grade a card.
From recent marketplace sales, shown over 30-, 90- or 365-day windows, with the sources a comp draws on listed in the app. Card markets move quickly, so treat every figure as a current estimate rather than a guaranteed sale price.
Yes — an account is what lets your binders, portfolio and scan history follow you to a new phone. You can sign up with an email address, or continue with Google or Apple.
The app is free to download and full access comes with a Pro subscription. Prices, any introductory offer and renewal terms are set and billed by the App Store or Google Play, so the exact figures are always the ones shown on the purchase screen in your region. Cancel any time from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Subscriptions on Android; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Camera and photo library access is requested only after you tap a scan or import control. Photos you submit are sent to the identification service so the model can analyse them, and anything you choose to save is stored against your account. Deleting your account removes them; see the Privacy Policy for the full detail and your rights over that data.
